Tax Deductible Receipt & Company Matching Programs
Most donations on GoFundMe are simply considered to be personal gifts and therefore do not qualify as tax deductible.
We are currently in the process of finalizing the details to be able to offer tax deductible receipts via the registered Canadian charity Handi-Care International.
Unfortunately, after much searching, we learned such organizations do not exist in the US or Germany. This explains our decision to partner with HCI. They specifically focus on supporting families fundraising for SDR in St. Louis.
Tax implications and donation limits (so your donation is considered a gift and not taxable income for the recipient) vary by country.
For specific questions, please consult with a tax advisor in your country of residence.
